<html>- open the document.	These tags surround everything in your document and identify the document as being in HTML.		</html>-closes document.
<Head> - Goes in the document after <html> .	These tags go around the title of your document and any other information that isn't displayed within the Web page itself and for now, that just means the title. This tag is also optional.		</Head>- Goes in the document

. <xmp> . . These tags go around everything in your document that is not part of the head. The tag goes just after the tag, which goes just after the tag. Usually in body tag you add more info for the browser like background (either background file or color), the color of text, link, visited link and so on. So than your body tag would look something like this: <xmp>

The six-digit number and letter combinations represents colors by giving their RGB (red, green, blue) value. The six digits are actually three two-digit numbers in sequences, representing the amount of red, green and blue as a hexadecimale value in the range 00-FF. For example, 000000 is black(no color at all), FF0000 is bright red, 0000FF is bright blue, and FFFFFF is white. Headings: Put the initial heading at the top of your document between the <h1 align="center">and </h1> tags. Than use higher-numbered tags for progressively lower heading levels. The <a>and </a>tag pair defines an anchor. HREF indicates a hypertext reference, in this case a pointer to a Web site's URL <a HREF="myfile.html">MY HTML FILE </a>. This is used to link within a Web sites, same directory. <a HREF="#nextline">Jump </a>to the next line. This is used to make links within a page. Graphics: <img SRC="mypic.jpg">. The IMG tag brings in a image in a format that the browser understands, either GIF or JPG. The SRC part of the tag tells the browser where to find the file. In this case file is called mypic.jpg and is in the same directory or folder as HTML file
